The Sunglo heater utilizes radiant heat to warm people and objects, not the surrounding air, making it an ideal choice for open patio designs. The Sunglo (A270BK) freestanding patio heater uses propane gas and operates at 40,000 BTUs per hour. When used with a standard 20-pound propane tank, the heater can be operated continuously for approximately six hours. The deep-dish reflector broadcasts radiant heat over an area of up to 12 feet in diameter, depending on wind conditions. The Sunglo A270BK features a stylish, black finish and a self-contained base which houses the propane tank. This heater features a safety pilot system which automatically shuts off the gas if the flame is lost. The spark ignition system is battery operated and there is a manual on/off control knob located at the front of the heater. No electrical connection is required, making this heater easy to maintain. A 24-inch clearance from combustibles around the sides of the heater is required for safe use. Made in the USA.
